VTOL Medical Delivery Drone Drone Project
Project Description
This is a VTOL(vertical take-off and landing) drone that I helped make as a part of a small team. The drone was a hybrid, combining a traditional quadcopter and a fixed wing drone into one body. The drone is able to carry heavy medical payloads for use in rural areas which lack ambulances nearby. The drone can automonomously travel to a GPS location when requested by an app, bringing medical tools such as AEDs, Narcan, or a tourniquet.

- Autonomously fly from a central location to a GPS location as requested by an app.
- Fly at up to 26m/s whilst carrying a 1.5kg payload in a 10 mile range.
- Custom flight controller based on the Teensy 3.6 and BNO055.
